Kesho Gooriah

Founder & Chief Soft Skills Officer

Kesho Gooriah is a pracademic, blending academic knowledge with practical expertise. As the founder and Chief Soft Skills Officer at Soft Skills Consultants (Mauritius) Ltd., he has served over 430 corporate clients and trained 3,000 delegates from various sectors. 

With 40 years of experience in Mauritius and the UK, including teaching and coaching foreign students, Kesho holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Career Development from the University of Napier, UK, a Post Graduate Certificate in Soft Skills and Experiential Learning from Unimenta, UK, and an MBA from the University of Surrey (Class 1999). 

He also holds professional certifications in Performance Management, Kirkpatrick Evaluation, Transfer Design, Facilitating Workshops with Accelerated Learning methods, de Bono training, and Competency Modelling.

Tania Benett

Corporate Trainer

Tania Benett, born and raised in Mauritius, boasts a diverse background. With a Master’s in International Finance from Panthéon-Assas University Paris 2, she garnered over 20 years of finance experience with industry giants like Rothschild HDF Investment Solutions and BNP Paribas. 

In 2020, Tania earned a coaching certification from “Haute École de Coaching” in Paris, specialising in executive and team coaching. Leveraging her multicultural background, she aids entrepreneurs and organisations in vision-setting, leadership development, and fostering strong company cultures. 

Tania also offers consulting and training services in customer service management, drawing from her extensive experience serving institutional clients in Europe.

Colin J. Browne

International Trainer

Colin is the founder of Happy Sandpit, which helps organisations to interpret, define and embed culture and leadership philosophies and practices in order to drive employee engagement. He is the author of How to build a Happy Sandpit (2013 / 2015) and of the upcoming Don’t believe everything you think (October 2022). 

Colin is the originator of the Three Day Culture Field Trip, and inventor of the Iceberg! Core Values stress testing game, which has customers in 15 countries. 

He has lectured on the topics of culture, engagement and leadership at local and international business schools including Wits Business School, GIBS and the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland). Colin is married with three daughters and lives in Johannesburg.

Chantel Botha

International Trainer

Chantel is a seasoned Customer Experience (CX) Professional who understands the challenges of the field. 

She has firsthand experience navigating organisational complexities, egos, and politics. When Chantel embarked on her first CX transformation program in 2008, she was driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact. 

Her goal was to create happier customers and more satisfied employees who serve them. She often reflected on how creating great Customer Experiences (CX) shouldn’t be so difficult, a sentiment that fuelled her early efforts in leading large-scale CX transformations.

Melanie Martinelli

International Trainer

Melanie Martinelli combines her entrepreneurial spirit with over 15 years of experience in Learning & Development (L&D) to build memorable and results-based learning experiences. In her roles as Senior Transfer Enabler at the Institute for Transfer Effectiveness and Founder of Going Beyond Training, she is passionate about making transfer happen. Melanie applies strong business acumen, extensive practical experience across cultures, and a deep understanding of what makes learning stick to help her clients become more strategic in their L&D initiatives.

Her key focus and skills include designing training programs with impact, creating and implementing transfer-effective development programs, and evaluating training effectiveness (Kirkpatrick Gold Certified). She is also skilled in evaluating and analyzing transfer effectiveness, developing transfer and evaluation skills for trainers and L&D managers, and designing and implementing customized transfer tools and interventions.

Inspired by her original education focus and 20 years of living and working abroad, Melanie enjoys a “second career” as a trainer, consultant, and university lecturer in the fields of Intercultural Communication, Virtual Collaboration, Corporate Culture, Leadership, DEI, Trust, and Negotiation.

Franck Connoly

Frank is one of our most successful trainers and facilitators and I have recently acknowledged him as one of the worldwide winners for the best real-world, practical application of the Lateral Thinking methods. Not only is he an accredited trainer of my Lateral Thinking, Six Thinking Hats and Powers of Perception methods, he also has some renown for the practical application of the methods to real world issues. To date he has successfully applied them across a range of industry resulting in substantial commercial outcomes and is now designing unique elephant conservation projects using lateral thinking, which should save both elephant, and human lives into the future. With over 15 years of extensive experience in Human Resources (HR), Recruitment, Talent Development, Industrial Relations (IR), and Administrative functions, she is dedicated to optimizing human capital to drive organizational success. Currently, she is engaged in consultancy and advisory roles specializing in Human Resource Management, Employment Law, Industrial Relations, Conflict Management, and Compensation & Benefits.

As a Senior Consultant at Soft Skills Consultants Ltd since July 2023, and previously as a Human Resource Manager and Senior Human Resources Officer at Mantu International Group/Amaris Consulting from August 2019 to June 2023, she has honed her skills in strategic HR management.

Prior to these roles, she served as a Human Resource Executive/Industrial Relations Advisor at Business Mauritius (formerly Mauritius Employers’ Federation) from March 2012 to August 2019.

She is passionate about contributing relentlessly to the success of establishments by leveraging her expertise to enhance workforce potential and create positive work environments.
